BIOGRAPHY

Born in Lynwood, CA. June 10th, 1963 (L.A. County) Terry was raised in a home that had music playing all the time. The fifth of six children, his older siblings were introducing him to the likes of the The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Cat Stevens, The Eagles, and Elton John among others. “We were always spinning vinyl and usually had the latest stuff.” said Terry. “My Grandmother had an electric guitar and played piano, and my brothers had guitars which inspired me to play.”

Moving to Big Bear Lake, CA. in 1973 he learned and played saxophone in the school band, and at age 12 began playing guitar.

​

Terry has been performing live in bands since the mid seventies and has shared his skills in places as far as the Philippines.

​

He has performed with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Richie Furay of Buffalo Springfield and Poco fame.

In June 2016, he was an opening act for Wynonna Judd at The Cave in Big Bear Lake.

​

February 23rd 2019 Opened for the band "Orleans" at The Cave.

​

He released a solo Christian album in 2013,”Rain Down” which has been heard World Wide on internet radio. The album is available on iTunes and Amazon.

​

The "Terry McRaven Band" has become a regular act at Wyatt's in Big Bear Lake, CA, Terry's hometown.
